What It Is: The Fixing Motor Assembly (also called the Fixing/Fuser Drive Motor or Parts Drive Press Release Assembly) - the dedicated motor that drives the fuser unit's rollers and, on many Kyocera models, also actuates the press-release mechanism that relieves fuser pressure when the printer is idle. A failed fixing motor assembly causes the fuser to stop turning entirely, producing a fuser-motor error and a complete stop to printing.
