What It Is: The Pickup Roller Rod (also sold as the Pickup Rod) - a rod-mounted rubber roller assembly that grips and pulls the top sheet from the tray on this printer family, a rod-style variant of the standard pickup roller. A worn, glazed or flattened pickup roller rod causes the printer to skip picking paper, feed multiple sheets stuck together, or feed paper crooked/skewed - the same symptoms as a standard pickup roller failure.
