What It Is: The Wiper Blade (also called the Cleaning Blade) - the rubber blade inside the toner cartridge that scrapes residual toner off the OPC drum after each page transfers, keeping the drum clean for the next print cycle. A worn or damaged wiper blade lets toner residue build up on the drum, causing ghost images, black streaks, or toner smearing across every subsequent page.
