What It Is: The Air Purger - a small pump/valve assembly in HP's ink-tank and GT-series printers that pushes air into the ink tank to help prime and push ink through to the print head during the printer's initial ink-charging and periodic priming cycles. A faulty air purger causes incomplete ink priming after a refill, weak or missing colors immediately after setup, or a priming/ink-system error on the printer's display.
