What It Is: The PF (Paper Feed) Sensor - also sold as the Board Assy Encoder PF, Round Encoder Sensor or Disk Sensor - a small optical sensor board that reads the paper-feed roller's rotation so the printer knows exactly how far paper has advanced. A faulty PF sensor causes paper to feed too far or not far enough, inconsistent line spacing, or a paper-jam error even on a clear paper path.
