What It Is: The Head Cable With Sensor Cable (Flat Cable) - the flexible ribbon cable that carries the print signal from the main circuit board to the moving print head, bundled with the cable for the carriage/paper sensor. A torn, cracked or intermittently connecting cable causes the printer to fail to detect the print head, throw a carriage error, misjudge paper position, or stop printing altogether.
