What It Is: The PE Lever Detector (PE = Paper End; also called the Paper Sensor Lever, Paper Detector Lever or Paper Eject Lever) - the small mechanical lever/sensor arm that detects whether paper is present in the printer's paper path. A broken or misaligned PE lever causes the printer to show a false "out of paper" error with paper loaded, or a paper-jam error that won't clear.
