What It Is: The Paper Out Sensor (also called the Paper Output Rear Sensor, Paper Output Eject Sensor or Output Sensor PCB Assembly) - a small optical sensor mounted near the output path that detects whether a printed page has fully exited the printer. A faulty paper-out sensor causes false paper-jam errors after a page has already printed and ejected, or the printer stalling mid-job waiting for a page it thinks hasn't cleared the tray.
